Save Monero from Qubic!

We have terrible news to share, which that Monero, our favorite cryptocurrency, is under serious attack by Qubic as a PR stunt.

In response to our most private payment option being threatened, we've launched savemonero.info (which has more details) and we are investing 0.01 BTC (About $1,200 USD) into Monero mining on miningrigrentals.com.

We do have one of our infrastructure servers mining with p2pool as well. Our other internal servers are unfortunately not capable of making much of a dent as far as hash rate goes.

We hope that a strong enough pushback against Qubic will strengthen Monero for years to come.

PS: This also means that we may have to increase minimum confirmations on Monero due to all of the orphaned blocks, which could slow down token payment confirmations.

Update: The 51% attack is largely over. Qubic still appears to mine Monero. Exchanges have re-opened Monero transactions as well. It seems this is behind us now.
