Baremetal

We are announcing availability for baremetal on Vultr. This will allow SporeStack users to launch non-virtualized servers. You can run your own virtualization in this case and it has many other benefits as well.

However, this feature is very new and may have bugs, so keep that in mind. Also, baremetal launches appear to be more limited in region (if in doubt, try EWR (New Jersey) or ORD (Chicago).) They take some time to come online.

For many, virtualized servers are the best option. But for some, and/or for some workloads, running directly on the hardware is a great option.

We've also started listing GPU featuring flavor types on the website and Python CLI (as of v14.3.0.)
